As part of the Measom training programme, our apprentices undertake a series of tests based on time and m2to get them ready for working on site. To make this more fun, the apprentices compete for the quickest time, the winner will receive a DeWalt laser as a reward for their achievement. Ryan Reed, our newest apprentice has broken the record on the first and second assessment!
Ryan completed his first assessment in 2hrs and 27 minutes, boarding 21m2. Up until now, the previous record was held by Matt Byrne who completed the assessment in 2hrs and 37 minutes. The second assessment he also beat the record by just 56 seconds, completing the work with 1hr 34 minutes and 47 seconds. The average time to complete both of these assessments is 6hrs and 30 minutes, Ryan did them in approx. 4hrs.
“I am really proud of all the apprentices who have participated so far, they have all done an amazing job. Ryan’s achievement is great, he is clearly dedicated and has potential to be a fantastic addition to any site he works on”.
Assessment 1 & 2 comprises of the apprentice building the wall as a single skin or a double skin with all the detailing that would entail. They have to interpret the drawings to ensure they are completing the works to the specification, this is to get them to work how they would be working on site. Well done Ryan, keep up the good work.
